The scripture says “Praise him with the trumpet sound; praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with tambourine and dancing. Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”Psalm 150

Speaking In Tongues & Interpretation of Tongues

 

Speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift that helps us to worship and glorify God.

 

It is also a form of prayer language that helps us to pray according to God’s perfect will.

 

The spiritual gift of tongues with interpretation serves to build up the church.

 

Tongues, the prayer language is for personal edification

 

“For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. 4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.” 1 Corinthians 14:2-4

 

As we worship God through praise, adoration, and thanksgiving, something beautiful takes place in our lives. Worship joins our hearts to the Father’s and His life begins to flow into our souls. Our revelation of Him increases and His presence begins to encompass us. The Holy Spirit ministers grace into our lives in the form of peace, joy, love, patience, healing, and many others.
